Don’t we food lovers always try to find the unfindable? A heavenly restaurant that just the insiders know? A hidden gem, busy every day – but not needing a website? Well known among the Berlin chefs – but not among tourists? And if I know such a place, should I tell it to you ??? ……. Okay, okay! Here we go: We’re happy guests at the Tavola Calda since 15 years: a small modern ristorante where Papa & Mama are cooking and both sons are doing their charming service. A few days ago I had a small portion of Taglierini in Butter Sauce and fresh Truffels on top, a crispy fried Turbot with Tomatoes, Caper & Rosemary …. and a mindblowing Sangiovese to lift me up into the Italian Heaven of TAVOLA CALDA.
