I tried this place years ago. It had a different name and owner and was just okay-ish. So after the name change in 2024 I didn’t pay much attention to it.
It’s not easy for a new owner to take over a place with a so-so reputation and cook it to the top! But finally I had dinner at the @quantobastaberlin and I was so overwhelmed!
Maybe I expected some improvements versus last time – but I would never ever have predicted that I would put @quantobastaberlin on my TOP FIVE ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN BERLIN!
A top notch chef, a very friendly and engaged host, great wine expertise and utterly delightful dishes. And a US Black Angus Rib-Eye from the Charcoal-Grill which reminded me at my time in NYC.
