Open since seven years, but still a bit under the radar – at least for me.

The guest room in cool industrial design with high ceilings and the metal bar remind me a bit of a iron workshop (no wonder, that place is connected to a metal arts studio). When you arrive you’re welcomed by young, stylish and perfect waiters – and actually by the blazing real fireplace. SO HYGGE!

The menu is short, creatively ambitious and very promising. The wine list is a huge problem’: too many great grapes for a quick choice. But the lovely service will guide you to the little wine drinkers satisfaction. The food is creatively cooked and very delightful. That’s true for all courses. So all in all: the bar brass is an unpretentious restaurant with great food and overwhelming wine list. More substance than appearance – something rare to find in the loud speaking Berlin – and maybe one reason why it was a bit hidden for too long.

Apropos hidden: DON’T come along ‚Am Spreebord’ since you might get lost in a huge construction fence – and your car has to turn around anyway. The BAR BRASS is directly at the corner Sömmeringstraße, which is the easiest access. Finally: They have a daytime Bistrot as well.
