Coffee Houses is the correct translation of ‚KAFFEEHÄUSER‘ – but it’s missing the point.

So: Kaffeehäuser are a major cultural and daily lifestyle element of the Viennese. Among the almost 100 Kaffeehäuser more than 20 have a very long history and about 10 are famous – even among tourists – a species you can’t avoid in Vienna.

CAFE SCHWARZENBERG is from the 19th century and it looks and behaves accordingly: very traditional, very stylish and even a tiny bit snobby. But the food is just okay-ish.

There are other Kaffeehäuser with better cuisine which I will rate a bit later.
