This comes from the heart: already as I was a kid my mother realized my ambition & taste for very good food – even if we didn’t have the money for it. In those days the few inns & restaurants in our region have been German (except one Jugoslawin, see «Marjan Grill’). While the French, Italians, Greeks etc kept their own typical cuisine and held it high – the Germans unfortunately have lost most of their culinary tradition. If a visitor asks us, where to get good German Food – we mostly refer to an Austrian eatery. And as much as I like the food of the world – I still love & adore our traditional German dishes, of course at its best! But where can we still find it?
GO SOUTH!  Go BADEN!  Go HIRSCHEN … and fall in love as I did.
