A friendly business partner from Basel once recommended to me the ww famous Grand Hotel LES TROIS ROIS. I thought, okay – once in a lifetime. So I spent a fortune for one night in a museum kind of hotel – the same phenomenon as with for example the Negresco in Nice: very old, very uncomfortable and very expensive. BUT the best bar experience I ever had in my life made up for all that. The old oak design, the classy atmosphere, the high art of cocktail mixing, a wonderful version of my favorite bar food – the club sandwich – the utterly cool bartenders and the great river terrasse & view.
Where and how I would love to spend the last eve before I die? At the LES TROIS ROIS BAR AND VERY VERY HAPPY! CHEERIO!
