Last year I visited CASA BELLUCCI, the sister of RISTORANTE BELLUCCI – and I gave it three hearts. So this time I was keen to enjoy the ‚mothership’ – the original. And since some famous print media made nice comments, I was expecting a lot. First to the media: they must have had their own reasons for it. Anyway.
But now to my remarkable evening: my first impression was the head waiter, not unfriendly or even rude – no, no, no! But I felt being treated a bit from above. My mistake? Maybe, since this was my first visit.
The TONNO TATAKI was s good start.
Then the CESAR NIKKEI I didn’t like at all. Lettuce for a Cesar? The chicken was chewy. Maybe from yesterday? I can’t tell. A few drops of sauce loveless on top.
The TAGLIOLINI al TARTUFFO NERO improved my mood a bit, since they were okay-ish.
But then the VEAL MEDALLIONS: to cut a heavy disappointment short: after one bite I gave it back.
The restaurant was fully booked, many young people, maybe in a party mood. When the staff turned a famous Italian party song on LOUD, the guests clapped while singing along. So obviously RISTORANTE BELLUCCI is not for me – but young people may like it more, except the quite high prices.
