Unlike most of the other beach clubs and restaurants in the romantic bay of Pampelonne, the Tahiti Beach site is not just leased, but was purchased by Felix Palmari in 1952 – and is now run by his son. Roger Vadim filmed “Et Dieu … créa la femme” there in 1957 as a cinematic adoration of the very young BRIGITTE BARDOT he discovered. She later bought a small dreamy beach villa not far away – on which Gunther Sachs once let rain 1000 red roses (yes, on the villa AND the Bardot) and where BB still lives today (except July/August because of the too many tourists disturbing her little paradise). I wouldn’t go into most of the other famous beach clubs, as the municipality of Ramatuelle, to which the bay belongs, wiped out all the tenants & locations a few years ago and awarded new contracts to the highest bidders. Horribly commercial – stupid municipal politics. But Tahiti Beach has remained legally & romantically untouched – until today. Stay, sunbathe & dine like „God in France”! Once in a lifetime …
And the outcome of the ,1000 Roses Operation’? Well,  a happy end – of course.
