This is not from an actual experience but from my memory – but still valid. Scandinavia is in many aspects in a positive way much different to other parts of Europe – and Norway is even more so. I had dinner with the family at the THEATERCAFÉEN on the Sunday before Christmas and the palatial restaurant was filled with elegantly dressed locals with their kids – eating ‚stockfish‘, an a bit fishy Norwegian speciality neither our kids nor we parents liked. On very special holidays the society of Oslo is celebrating with their whole family at the Theatercaféen. A wonderful opportunity to experience a bit of Norwegian culture – as well as their preferred cuisine.
