I personally love good and even more so great food – embedded in warm hospitality. My very new experience in VERONIKA crushed my evening: after having passed two (!) receptions we were welcomed by the romantic brick walls and very polite waiters. But sometimes too much can be too little: my impression was that we had for each and every dish or drink a new and different waiter. Of course that’s very costly for the restaurant and has to be reflected in the price level – but didn’t give me the feeling of being warmly treated by a wonderful host. Not at all! But when the taste of the dishes don’t keep up with the utterly posh service, I become very very unhappy. The crucial question at the end of every restaurant experience should be: DO I WANT TO COME BACK (A) ASAP? (B) Maybe LATER? Or (C) NEVER? This time we said: CCC.
